Beautiful sunshine, fine dancing raindrops
Interfacing summer and spring
Gilded clouds chased by wayward breeze.
Brilliant tulips, bold rainbow hues
Impressionist dabs on nature’s pallette
Green velvet canvas reflects their light.
Birdsong waltzes and pirouettes
Impertinent crow squawk answers back
Giggling together incongruously.
Blue water ripples, wispy spray
Illusory coolness slips away
Gauzy farewell to a perfect day.
(I belong to a small writing group where we take a random word every couple weeks and write a story, article, poem, whatever, based on that word. Can you guess the word for this one? Hint: it really doesn’t have anything to do with the poem!)
